I thought I’d start the year by doing a new round of blog posts. Lately I’ve been thinking of more blogging content, and I thought I’d write up some posts about the film photography I shoot. When doing a photo shoot, I often take my film camera with me. I make a conscious effort of trying to shoot more analogue photography when I can, so bringing my 35mm camera with me on shoots is a good way to keep practicing!
To begin, I’ll start with some film photographs I took on my shoot with Julita. I mostly shot with digital for this photo shoot, but I also wanted to use this photo shoot as a chance to capture some ethereal photographs on film. I thought the beautifully textured dresses would suit the grainy textures on film.
These were photographed in Castell Dinas Bran in Llangollen - I adore working in this location! It created the perfect eerie and dramatic landscape that I needed for this photo shoot.
The photographs below are from my test shoot with Helena back in March 2021, I blogged about that here.
And here are some film snaps from my test shoot with Milly wearing BECCI, which I also blogged about here.
I didn't manage to get many film photo’s from my latest shoot with Olivia Annabelle, the weather was terrible! I was happy with what we got from the day though. I’ll do a follow up blog post soon with more photographs from the day - it was so lovely meeting and working with Jodie!
This isn’t what I usually post, but I wanted to share some photos I took at the Magic of Thailand Festival in Manchester. Last Summer my boyfriend, his family and I went to Manchester for the day to go to the Thai Festival. It was a brilliant day, we watched the Buddhist Monks blessings, ate phenomenal Thai food, watched the Muay Thai boxers, laughed at the Brits who competed in the “I’m British, get me outta here!” challenge, a contest where unsuspecting Brits eat dung beetles, pigs lung, hot chillies and other things.
I’m still dreaming of this food - it was incredible! I had spicy udon noodle soup with prawns.
My challenge this year is to shoot more film photography, so hopefully these blog posts will become a regular thing! I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post, hopefully it won't be too long until I post the next one.
I leave you with these photos of my Luna ♥
